Core Principle: Authors retain copyright of their work while granting Research Floor the right to publish and distribute it under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY).

1. Author Rights

Authors who publish with Research Floor retain the copyright to their work. This means authors have the right to:

  • Reproduce their work for personal or professional use.
  • Distribute copies of their work to colleagues, students, or through personal websites.
  • Deposit their work in institutional or subject repositories.
  • Reuse their work in future publications (including books, chapters, or other articles).

5. Self-Archiving Policy

Research Floor supports the self-archiving of articles. Authors may deposit the final published version or the accepted version of their manuscript in:

  • Disciplinary Repositories: Subject-specific repositories (e.g., arXiv, bioRxiv, PubMed Central).

Authors are required to include the full citation (journal, volume, issue, page numbers, and DOI) when self-archiving.

6. Commercial Use

The CC BY license permits commercial use of published articles. However, authors and third parties must:

  • Indicate changes if the work has been modified.
  • Not imply that the authors or the journal endorse the commercial use.
