Author Guidelines

Last updated: June 2026 · Research Floor Editorial Office

Research Floor journals are committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and integrity. The following guidelines are designed to help authors prepare and submit manuscripts that align with our editorial expectations and open-access policy.

Before you submit: Please review the Publication Ethics and Open Access Policy pages to ensure your manuscript meets all requirements.

1. Manuscript Preparation

All manuscripts should be submitted in English, using clear and concise language. Please follow these formatting requirements:

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX (with PDF proof).
  • Font: 12pt Times New Roman or similar serif font; 1.5 line spacing.
  • Margins: 2.5 cm (1 inch) on all sides.
  • Page numbers: Consecutive numbering in the footer.
  • Abstract: Up to 250 words, structured (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion).
  • Keywords: 4–6 keywords following the abstract.

2. Article Structure

Research Floor follows the IMRaD structure for original research articles. Additional article types (reviews, case reports, short communications) may have flexible structures – please refer to the specific journal's instructions.

  • Introduction: Background and objectives.
  • Methods: Detailed methodology, including statistical analysis.
  • Results: Clear presentation of findings with tables and figures.
  • Discussion: Interpretation of results, limitations, and conclusions.
  • References: Follow the journal's citation style (APA or Vancouver).

3. Figures & Tables

All figures and tables must be cited in the text and submitted in high resolution. Each figure/table should have a descriptive caption. Preferred formats: TIFF, JPEG (300 dpi), or vector graphics (SVG, EPS).

4. References

References should be formatted according to the journal's specific style. At minimum, provide:

  • Author(s) full name and initials.
  • Year of publication.
  • Article title.
  • Journal name (abbreviated).
  • Volume, issue, page numbers.
  • DOI or URL for open-access sources.

5. Submission Process

All submissions are made through our online manuscript management system. You will need to create an author account (or log in if you already have one). The system will guide you through the following steps:

  1. Select the target journal.
  2. Upload the manuscript files.
  3. Provide author information and affiliations.
  4. Suggest potential reviewers (optional).
  5. Confirm that you have read and agree to the Publication Ethics and Open Access Policy.

6. Peer Review Process

Research Floor operates a double-blind peer review process. Authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other. The typical timeline is 4–6 weeks from submission to first decision. Reviewers are selected based on expertise and are asked to evaluate the manuscript for originality, methodology, significance, and clarity.

Important: Research Floor is committed to open science. By submitting, you agree to the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), ensuring your work is freely available and reusable with proper attribution.

7. After Acceptance

Once accepted, your manuscript will be copy-edited and typeset. You will receive a proof for final review. No major changes are allowed at this stage. The final article will be published online with a DOI and made openly accessible.
